“Time = Life, Therefore, waste your time and waste of your life, or master your time and master your life.” ~ Alan Lakein

Being away for 15 days in Montreal to teach two Hoffman Processes was the longest that I have been away from my family since my husband and I got together almost 20 years ago.  Yes, it will be 20 years on April 1st.  On the 27th of Feb. was my daughters 18th birthday. Where does the time go?  Thank goodness I don’t feel like I have missed parts of my life.

About 14 years ago when a friend’s son passed away, Derek (my husband) and I made a commitment to live our life so that we would not have any regrets.  That meant that the two of us were focusing on living life to the fullest and putting our time together as a family first.  Adventure, experiences and love are most important to both of us and I can say looking back that yes, we have been living life to the fullest.  That is not to say we haven’t had difficult times.  We have had our share and when I think about those times I feel grateful that we were able to navigate our way through with love and get to the other side.  All part of the human experience that we both signed up for.

I look forward to the next 20 years and all the experiences that life holds for me.  I have learned that when I stay present to the moment and respond with love and peace time seems to slow down and I can enjoy each moment.  This is what I strive to master so that when I look back on my life in another 20 years I can say that I truly enjoyed my life and it was flowing through me with ease, joy, grace and love.

Do you live life to the fullest and are you putting what’s important first? Please share your experiences in the comments below.
